I think we look forward to our evening walks almost as much as our furry friends. We love letting them off leash to run and frolic as we catch up about our day . This past week however our walks have been more adventurous than relaxing. Last Monday our three girls Molly, Brynn and Penny faced off against a porcupine. Needless to say our hour walk turned into 2 hours of pulling porcupine quills out of doggy noses.
Our sweet girls seemed to understand that we were doing our best to help them and were patient and understanding. Our happy go lucky stud Murphy escaped quill free but was not so lucky last night . As he ran over a hill we heard a yip and soon our noses told us that he had surprised a skunk in our field. Hello bath time! We did find a wonderful product to deodorize the potent skunk smell but our house is still airing out. Next time Murphy finds a skunk he’s sleeping in the dog house!
